our commitment to youth

Albuquerque Monthly Meeting welcomes every child

Albuquerque Monthly Meeting and our youth programs are committed to welcoming people of all ages, sexual and gender identities, races, cultures, abilities, and financial circumstances. We recognize that every person carries their own measure of Light, and that children deserve to be received with curiosity and respect. Our intention is that First Day School is a place where children can bring their whole selves. There is room here for big feelings, active bodies, imaginative play, and questions of every kind, including questions about difficult parts of our world.

We affirm that Quakerism is not something handed down unchanged from one generation to the next, but something we discover together in community, one Sunday at a time.
